We practice in a non-competitive community and encourage all to join with a playful spirit and an open heart and mind. We focus on intelligent sequencing to increase strength and flexibility while releasing stress and fatigue. We believe yoga is for everybody and it’s for this reason that we offer a wide range of yoga classes from deep relaxation, to powerful engagement, to floating in the air.
Come practice with us.
Traditional Mat Based Classes
Core yoga is a flow yoga class that focuses on strengthening the core muscles to support good postural alignment. It can help with back problems, pain issues due to poor posture, and digestion and elimination. Core yoga is recommended by Integrative Yoga Therapy for scoliosis.
Form Of A Pose
Form Of A Pose dives a little deeper into the form and alignment of a specific posture. Each practice will prepare the body for a specific pose while helping the practitioner understand how the pose targets the systems in the body. This class will benefit new students as well as long-time practitioners and will help strengthen, stretch and balance your body.
Foundations is all about discovery. This is an ideal class for the beginner. Individual asanas (postures) will be reviewed in detailed. The class will also focus on the transitions between postures and the integration of breath in a vinyasa practice. Safe alignment principles, transitions and modifications are taught so students can progress safely and comfortably to other classes. Flexibility, balance and strength are not required to start. Come as you are.
Flow For Everyone
Flow For Everyone is an all levels class, perfect for everyone regardless of experience or ability. This class fosters body, mind, spirit harmony through mindful movement and conscious awareness of breath and thoughts.
Gentle Yoga is exactly that a gentle, slower paced, down-regulating practice. It incorporates gentle movement to welcome release in the physical body and promote mind-body awareness.
Power Vinyasa is a strong, powerful, energetic practice that draws on the physicality of the practice. Dynamic movement is merged with the rhythm of breath to build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength, concentration, and stamina. Postures are incorporated into progressive sequences to make the class accessible and rewarding for all. Expect intelligent sequencing crafted around sun salutations, standing & seated postures, bending, standing balances, arm balancing, and inversions.
Prana is our breath and the vital life force in our bodies. Pranayama is the relationship to our breath and teaches us to control the movement of our minds. The more we become aware of our breath, the more we are able to calm the mind and access and experience the bliss of our hearts through meditation. This class will teach us about the breath and various simple techniques to access the breath, quiet the mind and turn into the sublime radiance of our hearts.
Restorative classes are pure bliss. A relaxing practice in which the body is fully supported by props. Poses are held for extended periods of time to promote full relaxation, calming of the nervous system and rejuvenation of the mind-body-spirit connection. Affectionately known as “sleep class”, Restorative yoga helps you achieve a deeper sleep and calm throughout the day.
Slow Flow Vinyasa brings the element of time into the practice. Time for you to explore the postures and how to move, breathe, engage and stretch in your body. This pace allows you to mentally engage with your body as it moves and provides the opportunity to notice when the ‘monkey mind’ becomes distracted. There is much to learn within the reflective pace of Slow Flow. Poses can be modified, refined and strengthened, without feeling rushed into the next move, next breath, or next pose.
Welcome the sun and the new day with a sweet morning flow class to gently awaken and invigorate your whole being. This practice helps create suppleness in the mind and body. Join us as we set a positive intention for the day.
Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) A, B, C will be the foundation of this practice. We will move rhythmically and dynamically through sun and moon salutations and other variations.
Vinyasa’s (aka Flow) signature is the movement of the body through various postures seamlessly connected with breath. This is devotion in motion. Mindfully moving your body to create warmth, endurance, clarity, flexibility, and strength. Sequencing is thoughtfully crafted around sun salutations, standing & seated postures, bending and balancing.
Yin Yoga is the practice of passively holding stretches for several minutes to release tension stored in the connective tissue (joints, ligaments, fascia) of the body. Yin helps to restore and maintain the natural mobility of the joints, support a greater range of motion in the body, reduce the risk of injury, and increase overall energy while calming the nervous system. Energetically Yin Yoga opens the body’s meridian system to enhance and free energetic flow. Yin yoga is accessible to everyone. This class encourages quiet stillness allowing for self-discovery and rejuvenation.
Yin + Restorative
Create space in your day to stretch slowly, find calm and relaxation in this gently nourishing blend of Yin and Restorative Yoga. Yin Yoga stretches target the body's connective tissue, helping to release tension, realign posture and open energy channels, while gentle supported Restorative poses aim to restore balance to body, mind and spirit.
A balanced practice of deep stretching (yin) and flowing vinyasa movement (yang). The breath connects these two different styles of yoga, creating space and easing tension in the body. All levels welcome.
Yoga nidra is the practice of conscious relaxation. Yoga nidra works by gently guiding you through four main stages of brain wave activity – beta, alpha, theta and delta – arriving at a state between wakefulness and sleep. Science has measured the benefits to the body of one 30-minute practice of yoga nidra equals approximately two hours of deep sleep. This class includes gentle movement to help the mind and body settle for divine sleep.
About our aerial classes:
How often do you find an exercise that is therapeutically healing and fun? AIReal Yoga™ is a blissful balance of both. AIReal Yoga is a form of yoga that uses a looped fabric (the hammock) that swivels freely on a single point, offering you the full range of motion as you practice. The hammock is used as a prop to explore, deepen, and engage yoga poses in a new perspective. This experience is similar to a traditional yoga class on the floor, where we may use a block, a blanket, a strap, or a bolster to assist our practice. The hammock serves as a tool to help you balance, correct your alignment, build strength and stability and safely guides you through postures that may have felt impossible. The hammock singularly supports, deepens, and challenges each students’ yoga practice. Classes are offered in a safe, supportive, non-competitive community. All AIReal yoga classes are taught by an experienced, certified AIReal Yoga Instructor.
A fun, effective, and challenging way to practice traditional mat-based postures. You will learn to fly, hold, and balance while improving cardiovascular health and muscular strength. Inversions (always optional) will focus on decompressing the spine while calming the nervous system. This class incorporates modifications for all skill levels.
A strong, powerful, energetic class that draws on the physicality of the practice. Dynamic movement is merged with the rhythm of breath to build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength, concentration, and stamina. The subtle movement of the hammock offers just the right amount of challenge to fire-up a whole body workout experience. Postures are incorporated into progressive sequences to make the class accessible and rewarding for all.
We lower the hammocks and add in the additional comforts of blankets and bolsters to create a peaceful and relaxing experience. The hammock magically releases physical and energetic stress and tension.
AIReal Slow Flow
Slow Flow + Stretch is a mix of slow, gentle movements connected with breath to create space and release tension in the body. The aerial hammock offers the right amount of support to experience postures that may otherwise be challenging on the mat. At the same time, the subtle movement of the hammock provides the right amount of challenge to help refine stability and strength. This class is accessible to all, regardless of yoga or aerial experience.
